Safety is the whole point

Chartering privately should be the safest way you fly, not a leap of faith. Every TriStar flight is operated by an FAA-certificated FAR Part 135 air carrier, vetted through independent audits and human review before you ever leave the ground.

How we protect every flight

Five checks before you're booked

01 · Part 135

FAA-certificated air carriers only

Every flight is operated by a FAR Part 135 direct air carrier with full operational control of the aircraft, crew and flight. TriStar brokers and vets; the certificated carrier flies.

02 · Audits

ARGUS & WYVERN safety ratings

We prioritise operators audited by ARGUS and WYVERN — the industry's independent standards covering safety history, pilot currency, maintenance and operational controls.

03 · Checks

Background & FAA-compliance checks

Before we confirm a trip we verify the operator's active Part 135 certificate and run background and FAA-compliance checks against the operator and aircraft.

04 · Chief pilots

Direct chief-pilot interviews

Where a trip warrants it, we speak directly with the operator's chief pilot to confirm crew experience, aircraft status and the specifics of your mission.

05 · Human sign-off

A dispatcher confirms it all

Automation surfaces options; a live human dispatcher confirms the operator, aircraft, crew, route and price before you are booked — 24/7.

Our standard

What "vetted" actually means here

Anyone can call an aircraft "safe." We treat it as a checklist. An operator does not appear in a quote to you until we have confirmed it holds an active FAA Part 135 certificate, reviewed its independent safety-audit status, and satisfied ourselves — through documentation and, when needed, a direct conversation with the chief pilot — that the specific aircraft and crew are right for your flight.

  • Active FAR Part 135 certificate verified for every operator
  • ARGUS and/or WYVERN safety rating prioritised
  • Background and FAA-compliance checks on operator and aircraft
  • Chief-pilot interviews where the mission warrants
  • Live human dispatcher confirms every booking, 24/7

Good to know

Safety questions, answered

Who operates my flight?
Every flight booked through TriStar is operated by an FAA-certificated FAR Part 135 direct air carrier that holds full operational control of the aircraft, crew and flight at all times. TriStar is the broker that sources and vets the operator; the certificated carrier flies you.
What are ARGUS and WYVERN?
ARGUS and WYVERN are the two leading independent safety-audit standards in private aviation. They evaluate an operator's historical safety record, pilot qualifications and currency, maintenance programs and operational controls. We prioritise operators that carry these ratings.
How do you vet an operator before I fly?
Before confirming any trip we verify the operator's active Part 135 certificate, review their ARGUS/WYVERN status, run background and FAA-compliance checks, cross-check the aircraft and crew, and — where warranted — speak directly with the operator's chief pilot. A human dispatcher signs off before you are booked.
Is a human involved, or is it automated?
A human is always in operational control. Our automation surfaces options and pricing, but a live dispatcher confirms the aircraft, certificated operator, crew, route and final price before anything is booked — 24/7.
