I honestly didnt think a service like this existed outside of movies. My wife and I needed to get from Miami to a small island in the Bahamas for a family emergency, and commercial flights were a nightmare. Found TriStar late at night, filled out the request, and a real person called me back in like 20 minutes. Not a robot, not a call center script — a guy who actually listened. He searched operators, found an aircraft that could do the trip, and gave me a fixed all-in price right there. No hidden fees. The plane was beautiful, crew was proffesional, and the concierge even arranged a car to meet us at the FBO. They stayed in touch the whole time. This wasn’t some cold transaction, it felt like having someone in your corner. I’ve already recomended them to my business partner. Definately using TriStar again.

I’d been watching empty leg sites for months trying to get a deal on a New York to Palm Beach flight. Everything either disappeared or turned out to be bait and switch. Signed up for the TriStar Membership free trial mostly out of curiosity, not expecting much. Within the first week I got an alert for a repositioning flight that matched my dates almost perfectly. I submitted the request, dispatch confirmed the operator and tail number, and we signed a contract the next day. The whole thing cost less than half of what I was quoted elsewhere. Only thing I’d say is you have to be a little flexible on timing, but the savings are worth it. The team was super responsive and didnt make me feel like a small fish. Already upgraded to the paid membership.

I’m not a frequent flyer on private jets — this was a one-time splurge for our 20th anniversary. I contacted TriStar and a couple of other brokers. TriStar was the only one that asked questions about what we actually wanted, not just the route. They found an aircraft with a cabin layout my wife would love, sent interior photos, and helped me pick catering from a local restaurant. The concierge person (same person the whole time!) even had flowers put on board and booked us a dinner reservation at our destination. Yes, the plane was great and the price was transparent, but the reason I’m writing this is the people. You don’t feel like a booking number. There was a minor delay on the return due to weather, and they kept us updated, rerouted ground transport — zero stress. If you want a service that actually gives a damn, this is it. My only regret is not doing it sooner.

I fly charter semi-regularly for work and I'm pretty picky about operators. TriStar didn’t try to push one aircraft or one fleet on me like some brokers do. I gave them a multi-leg route (Miami-Nashville-Charlotte-Miami) and they came back with three different operator options, each with photos, tail numbers, and a full breakdown. The quote was fixed, no surprises. Concierge arranged my car service and even special meal prep for a late departure. One thing I appreciated: they never overpromised. When they needed to check something with the operator, they said so. Refreshing. I'll keep sending them my trips alongside my usual broker and see who wins. So far, TriStar is faster and more transparent.

I was paying around 150k a year for a jet card with all these restrictions, blackout dates, and an aircraft I didn’t even like half the time. A friend told me to look at TriStar instead of renewing. I was super cautious but did the free membership trial, talked to a dispatcher, and actually tested them with a difficult route. They sourced a good aircraft, and I didn’t have to prepay a cent beyond that trip. Been using them for five months now, saved a ton, and I’m not locked into a fleet I don’t control. Not going back.

Booked a one-way charter from LA to Vegas for a birthday weekend. TriStar gave me 4 aircraft options with photos and pricing in under an hour. Absolutly seamless.

Was skeptical because the membership trial didn’t ask for a card. Figured it was a gimmick. But I got a route alert within days for an empty leg from Teterboro to Chicago that almost exactly matched my dates. Sent the request, dispatch called me back, confirmed the operator, and locked in the price. Aircraft was clean, crew was chill, and the whole thing felt safe and above board. Honestly, I was shocked it was that straightforward. It’s not some magic "instant book" nonsense, you still deal with real people who verify everything, which I actually prefer. Cancelled my other broker accounts.

Used the calculater on EmptyLeg.Store just to get a rough number for an Aspen trip. Ended up putting in a request and got a member price that was about 12 percent lower than the public listing. Wasn’t expecting that. Signed the contract two days later. Whole thing took maybe three emails and one call. Good stuff.

My wife thought I was insane booking a private flight through a website she’d never heard of. To be fair, so did I. But we had to get three kids and a nanny from Boston to a wedding in a tiny town upstate, and commercial options were a joke. TriStar sourced a King Air, handled all the ground stuff, and even had snacks the kids actually liked. My wife now tells everyone we have a "jet guy." I don’t correct her. Thanks TriStar.

TriStar has become my go-to for empty leg alerts. I travel between south Florida and New York a lot and their route alerts actually work. You tell them your airports and budget, and they email you when something close pops up. I’ve booked four flights this way in the last few months. None of them were "too good to be true," they were real repositioning flights with real operators. The membership pays for itself fast if you actually use it.
